Wsa: global crude steel production in October 2019 is 151.5 million tons
On October 2019, crude steel output of 64 countries included in the statistics of the world iron and steel association was 151.5 million tons, down 2.8% year-on-year.
China's crude steel output was 81.5 million tons in October 2019, down 0.6 % year-on-year.India's crude steel production fell 3.4 % year-on-year to 9.1 million tonnes in October.Crude steel production in Japan fell 4.9 % to 8.2m tonnes in October from a year earlier.South Korea produced 6m tonnes of crude steel in October, down 3.5 % from a year earlier.
In the European Union, Germany produced 3.3 million metric tons of crude steel in October, down 6.8 % from a year earlier.Italy produced 2.2 million tonnes of crude steel in October, down 3.7% from a year earlier.
French crude steel production in October was 1.2 million tons, down 10.6% from a year earlier.Crude steel production in Spain fell 7.6 % to 1.2 million tonnes in October from a year earlier.
Crude steel production in the us in October 2019 was 7.4 million tons, down 2.0% from the same period last year.
Brazil's crude steel production in October 2019 was 2.6 million tons, down 19.4 % year-on-year.
Turkey's crude steel production in October 2019 was 2.7 million tons, down 15.0% from the same period last year.
Ukraine's crude steel production in October 2019 was 1.6 million tons, down 12.7 % year-on-year.
